Cost of living reality check -Hamtramck
Been meaning to ask this. Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $116,400 on average. Rent is about $907/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $40,103 in Hamtramck. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Growing food scene
- Strong sense of community
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons:
- Hot summers
- Cold winters
- Rising rent prices
