Anyone regret moving to Hanahan?

Alright, Homes are going for about $339,800 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Hanahan sits at 204.2 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Worth the trade-offs? Cheers. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- The dating scene scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Uptown. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 12 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
