Is public transit usable in Hanahan?

So, Been living here since 2016. Poverty rate is 10.7%, which is around average. Average temperature is around 67--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I overthinking this? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely decent and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Riverside) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
