Everly Hill housing

Is Hanford still affordable?

Anyone else feel this way? Rent is about $1,196/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is decent in most areas.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Bought a house here in 2024 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

I've lived in Springfield for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- The food scene scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..
