How are the schools in Hanover?

Hey everyone, Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $200,900 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Should I be concerned? Thanks for reading.

I'm a project manager and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Springfield) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I work in education here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is underrated. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 5 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
