The good and bad of living in Hardeeville

Hello, I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Hardeeville sits at 749.1 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What would you do? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in retail. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
