Harker Heights is underrated, change my mind

So, I work in automotive and Average temperature is around 67--F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $269,000, which seems about average. With a population of 33,595, Harker Heights is a smaller city. Median household income is $82,685, which feels pretty solid for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 12 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
