Starting a business in Harlingen?

Random thought, We have two kids and Rent is about $893/month for a decent place. With a population of 71,669, Harlingen is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $125,700 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Harlingen sits at 416.9 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Thanks! Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is hit or miss. Tons of great seafood places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
