Is public transit usable in Harper Woods?

Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to.

Used to live on the South side, now on the North side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

I've lived in Old Town for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The pet-friendliness scene is improving

The downsides:
- Limited entertainment options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
