First post here. I'm originally from Miami and Household incomes average around $47,783 in Harrisburg. You can expect to pay around $996 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Worth the trade-offs? TIA! Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to.
