Housing in Harrisburg compared to Chicago

Random thought, I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $281,400 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Harrisburg sits at 442.2 per 100K. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

How are the schools in Harrisburg?

OK so Been living here since 2007. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What do you all think? Thanks!
