Working remotely from Harrison

My family moved here when I was a kid. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $82,290, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 8.7%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is tough in most areas.

The food scene here is improving. Tons of great Italian places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
