First post here. I'm originally from Raleigh and Homes are going for about $278,200 on average. With a population of 51,492, Harrisonburg is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What would you do? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
