Is Hartford a good place to live?

Longtime lurker here, I've been here for 12 years and Homes are going for about $261,300 on average. Median household income is $74,252, which feels about average for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Anyone in a similar situation? Appreciate any input.

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Springfield side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
