Is public transit usable in Hartsville/Trousdale County?

Hey folks, Thanks! It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a accountant, 54, moved here 4 years ago from Dallas. I've lived in East and West, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Four distinct seasons
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Urban sprawl is real
3. The nightlife situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- East: Great for remote workers. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- West: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Dallas, everything felt solid. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $60K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Minneapolis about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Low crime in most neighborhoods

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Houston it's decent.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is improving in most areas.
