Harvard quality of life -am I missing something?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Crime rate is something to consider -Harvard sits at 209.0 per 100K. With a population of 9,875, Harvard is a small town. Rent is about $1,184/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 9,875 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from LA about 9 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is challenging.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
