Working in Harvey -salaries realistic?

Curious what people think. I've been here for 18 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Harvey sits at 235.7 per 100K. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Should I be concerned? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.
