Housing market in Harwood Heights right now

Anyone else feel this way? I relocated for work and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Should I be concerned? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

I've lived in The Heights for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- The community vibe scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Dallas it's challenging.
