My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 4.6%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Should I be concerned? The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've lived in Old Town for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- The cultural scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.
