Anyone work in healthcare in Hastings?

Anyone else feel this way? Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 10.3%, which is around average. It's a a smaller city city with about 25,005 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Has anyone dealt with this? The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Boston it's hit or miss.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Meadowbrook area are challenging. Kids love it here.
