Day-to-day life in Hattiesburg, MS

So, Poverty rate is 23.0%, which is higher than I expected. The median home value here is around $153,600, which is actually reasonable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Thoughts? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

Moved here from Tampa about 5 years ago. the quality of life is solid. Still getting used to traffic but Hope this helps!.
