Curious what people think. I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 7.4%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much developing but now it's decent.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a teacher who relocated here from Miami about 10 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is improving.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Happy to answer more specific questions..
