Relocating to Haverhill, MA -pros and cons?

I'm a 39-year-old teacher and Household incomes average around $87,675 in Haverhill. Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Does this match your experience?

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
- The traffic scene is average

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. No regrets on my end..
