Been meaning to ask this. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. You can expect to pay around $1,696 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Worth the trade-offs? The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much established but now it's solid.

I work in manufacturing here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is excellent. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is solid in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in government. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.
