Average temperature is around 71--F, so it's warm year-round. It's a a small town city with about 13,273 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I overthinking this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've lived in North for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The healthcare scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 3 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
