Is it worth buying in Hawthorne?
I'm a college student here and Rent is about $1,723/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 13.3%, which is around average. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -Hawthorne sits at 728.5 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
