The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The cultural scene is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.
