How is the nightlife in Hayti?

Alright, With a population of 2,145, Hayti is a small town. Household incomes average around $25,486 in Hayti. Homes are going for about $73,500 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Thanks in advance! It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The healthcare is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Hot take but the quality of life is solid. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a teacher, 50, moved here 8 years ago from New York. I've lived in Lakewood and North, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The walkability situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Lakewood: Great for remote workers. hit or miss vibes, walkable.
- North: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from New York, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $90K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Came here for retirement and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The traffic is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in South for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The school system scene is decent

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.
