Relocating to Hayward, CA — pros and cons?
Anyone else feel this way? With a population of 159K, Hayward is a mid-size city. Rent is about $2,360/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $820,700, which is pretty steep. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Would love some local perspective. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
