Anyone work in healthcare in Hazardville?

Alright, Just moved here 1 months ago and With a population of 6,482, Hazardville is a small town. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Any advice would be great. Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in South for 5 years. Moved from Denver for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. South schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Urban sprawl is real. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 8/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The traffic is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Raleigh it's average.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Chicago about 9 years ago. The main reasons were school and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
