What surprised you most about Hazel Park?

I work in retail and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $1,221/month for a decent place. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What are your go-to spots? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Moved here from Chicago about 14 years ago. I genuinely enjoy living here. Still getting used to traffic but Definitely worth checking out..
