Starting a business in Hazen?

My partner and I are With a population of 2,509, Hazen is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Hazen sits at 43.1 per 100K. Median household income is $72,094, which feels about average for the area. Household incomes average around $72,094 in Hazen. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Worth the trade-offs? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Lakewood. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.
