Longtime lurker here, The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,094/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Has anyone dealt with this? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
