Working in Heath -salaries realistic?

Random thought, I'm a teacher here and Crime rate is something to consider -Heath sits at 130.7 per 100K. Homes are going for about $681,500 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What would you do? TIA! The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Cedar Grove. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
