So, I'm a 53-year-old contractor and The median home value here is around $442,100, which is pretty steep. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a smaller city city with about 58,569 people. Poverty rate is 13.0%, which is around average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What do you all think? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I work in engineering here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is challenging. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The weather is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Used to live on the East side, now on the South side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Came here for school and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The nightlife is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
