Anyone else feel this way? I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Hempstead sits at 119.0 per 100K. With a population of 58,569, Hempstead is a smaller city. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Anyone in a similar situation? Any help is appreciated.
