Is Hempstead a good place to live?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but You can expect to pay around $1,649 for rent here. With a population of 58,569, Hempstead is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,649/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 13.0%, which is around average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great. Appreciate any input. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
