What to expect moving to Hempstead?

So, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $82,454 in Hempstead. Homes are going for about $442,100 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Let me know your thoughts.

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great seafood places. it was the best decision I ever made.
