Housing in Henderson compared to Phoenix

Longtime lurker here, Homes are going for about $151,400 on average. Median household income is $47,176, which feels on the lower side for the area. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What do you all think? TIA! Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in construction. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Midtown for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good internet infrastructure
- The safety scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..
