Hercules is underrated, change my mind

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm originally from Austin and It's a a smaller city city with about 26,245 people. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Hercules sits at 120.2 per 100K. Household incomes average around $130,583 in Hercules. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Anyone in a similar situation? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 10 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
