Hi all, I work in construction and Crime rate is something to consider -Herkimer sits at 184.6 per 100K. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Is Herkimer walkable?

So, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $123,700, which is actually reasonable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Let me know your thoughts.
