Starting a business in Hermann?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider -Hermann sits at 129.0 per 100K. Poverty rate is 10.0%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What are your go-to spots? The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in construction. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
