You can expect to pay around $1,241 for rent here. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. The weather takes some getting used to. Thoughts? Any help is appreciated. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is underrated in most areas.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The cultural scene is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 15 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

I've been here 5 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Feel free to reach out with questions..
