Rent vs buy in Hewitt -what makes sense?

Median household income is $182,516, which feels pretty solid for the area.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from San Francisco about 14 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is underrated.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from San Francisco about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Good luck with whatever you decide..
