Anyone else feel this way? Homes are going for about $252,200 on average. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots? Thanks! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
