Couple moving to High Point from out of state

Hello, I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $1,062/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $61,228 in High Point. Crime rate is something to consider -High Point sits at 730.8 per 100K. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I wrong here? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..
