Pros and cons of High Point after 11 years
Alright, My family moved here when I was a kid. Household incomes average around $61,228 in High Point. It's a a mid-size city city with about 115K people. The median home value here is around $212,400, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 9.9%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What would you do? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
