How are the schools in Highland?

Hey, Poverty rate is 12.7%, which is around average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Worth the trade-offs?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Houston about 4 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The housing market is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Westside. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in tech. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
