Studio apartments in Highland -options?

Anyone else feel this way? My partner and I are Homes are going for about $455,200 on average. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Worth the trade-offs? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 13 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- The nightlife scene is improving

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is decent in most areas.

I've lived in Downtown for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Strong job market in several industries
- The safety scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. dating scene used to be much established but now it's tough.
