Considering Highland City vs Kansas City -help me decide

Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $88,628 in Highland City. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Should I be concerned?

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the The Heights side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Old Town. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Hope this helps!.

Moved here from Baltimore about 15 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to healthcare but Would recommend to anyone considering it..
